It's not everyday you turn a cork grip in a completely new shape. This Rustic River 7'6'', 5wt has a grip that was inspired by an old rod made by influential rod maker Russ Peak in the 50's. The original rod was recently acquired by my friend, rod builder Chris Barclay, and I asked him immedeately to mic it for me. It's a slim grip, with a very peculiar front section. I have never seen this grip before, and it reminds me of a bottle, so why not call it The Bottle Grip. Functional, comfortable and quite beautiful. The rest of this rod is appointed with my own reel seat hardware in blued brass and rubber, brown silk and bronze guides. This rod is for sale (incl. sock but no tube).
