Here comes a taper from my Japanese friend Tomo Ijuin, who is one of my favorite taper designers in the world. This is the Ijuin Sakura 7'06'', 4wt, and has a medium-fast action and a strong butt section. It stands out among the Ijuin tapers with it's fast progressive action, and is a versatile fishing tool for trout waters all over the world. The rod was appointed with a wooden reel seat in silver maple spalted burl and NS skeleton, and a straight Ritz grip. Mildrum stripping guide and Snake Brand Universals in chrome, wrapped in pink Pearsall Gossamer silk. The reel is a Genesis Approach, designed by the talented Josh Young in Taiwan and makes a perfect match to this rod.
