I have several rods almost ready on the rack, but all with minor missing parts soon to arrive by mail. Meanwhile I'm working on a personal rod, a Steffen 8'6'', 8/9wt. This will be my carp rod on a trip to Beaver Island, Lake Michigan in July with my friend Cameron Mortensen from The Fiberglass Manifesto. Short, rather stout Ritz grip and naked reel seat, inspired by the work of the amazing bamboo builder Mike Montagne.
