Yes, this is a graphite rod. Sometimes I make exceptions, if only to challenge myself. Loop is a Swedish company, and they have always pushed the boundaries and developed new concepts. I admire this, and since I have a few friends that are connected to Loop, I asked whether it would be possible to make a feature build on a premium blank. This is a nano resin technology blank from the Cross S1 series. It's a relatively fast and extremely light graphite blank, and it casts like nothing else. It's an 8'6'', 3wt rod in 4 piece configuration. I have appointed it with my own reel seat in stabilized vera wood, rubber and blued brass. I used a titanium stripping guide and black Recoil guides, wrapped with Gudebrod charcoal nylon and finished with epoxy.
