Kabuto blanks are always nice to work with. Clean and nice, with perfect finish and performance. This is a 7', 3wt rod that I made for a customer in the US. He asked me to build something in my own style, but in a color scheme that would work with a bronze reel. I decided to make small accents in brown. The butt cap is made of Circassian walnut and brown rubber, the sliding rings are blued NS, and the stripper guide is wrapped with Java silk. The rest is transparent and rather generic. Dark nickel guides wrapped with white silk and a Mildrum type stripping guide.
